The grain used in Three 5 Three is true to the pedigree of classic stouts. British base malt is complemented with caramel and chocolate malts and roasted barley. All these are tied together with a touch of milk sugar that provides a velvety smooth taste. British hops keep the sweetness of the malt in check and provide for perfectly balanced beer.

Our milk stout was truly born in Ireland. In the early days of the WLBC, Seth and Steve traveled to Dublin for St. Patricks day. The “black as the night” Irish stouts found in the local pubs wonderfully inspired them. After visiting with many pub keeps and patrons, the concept of the WLBC stout was penned into the margins of a travel guide. The scribbles became the Three 5 Three stout and was aptly named after the telephone country code of Ireland.
